ServoBelt Rotary

Bell-Everman is a US manufacturer of ServoBelt Linear actuators, ServoBelt Rotary actuators and LowBoy linear stages.

ServoBelt Linear

is a moving-motor carriage with a small "tank tread" belt mounted in it.  The small belt meshes with a tooth profile that is molded along the axis of travel.  If the actuator is eight or eighty feet in length there are only about four inches of belt in tension.  That means the belt doesn't sag off the actuator body.  Your servo motor does not have to overcome the friction and inertia of a long recirculating belt under tension.  If you are operating in a dirty environment, position the belt on the bottom or side so particulate does not build up.  Furthermore, multiple carriages can be mounted on a common axis and move independently without any unexpected dynamics

ServoBelt Linear is ideal for long travels, actuators with multiple carriages and muti-axis configurations.

Quick specifications:

Speed - 4 meters per second peak speed

Repeatability - +/-10-15 micron unidirectional repeatability

Length - unlimited

Belt orientation - any

This is a large format gantry with two independent bridges.  Bell Everman provided the stanchions as well.

This is a floor-mounted 3-axis gantry.  The X axis uses our 7th axis design with the belt mounted on its side.

ServoBelt Rotary

is a belt driven rotary stage with a 3:1 or 5:1 belt reduction built in.  SBR is offered with 16mm, 25mm, 50mm, 100mm and 200mm thru-holes.  The output is balanced so it is not RPM limited.  SBR is motor-agnostic.  Bell-Everman can add a ring encoder on the output, secondary gear reductions.  The motor can be mounted opposite or on the same side as the output.

SBR is lightweight and can be used as a robotic wrist or theta axis on a cartesian gantry.

Quick specifications:

Rotational speed - unlimited

Accuracy - +/-60-90 arc-seconds with a 16,000 count per rev encoder

Low Boy Linear Stage

is a compact linear stage  with three drive offerings.

  • Lead screw for low-cost positioning with moderate accuracy.

  • Ball-Screw for high accuracy positioning at a reasonable cost.

  • Linear motor for high positional accuracy

Quick specifications:

Length - up to 40 inches

Accuracy - +/-5 to 50 microns depending on drive type

Payload - up to 100kg
